Selwyn Seals Cold Water Swimming Society

Each week, usually on a Sunday morning, the Selwyn Seals cycle from the porters' lodge to Jesus Lido. We go cold water swimming all throughout the year. It is a friendly and low-commitment society which enjoys the physical and mental health benefits of cold water swimming. Even a 30 second dip will make you feel great, so there is no pressure to swim length after length! We often enjoy a hot drink at the lido after our swim and meet for brunch back at Selwyn to warm up. The society is free to attend as the lido entry fee is covered by the college (unless we exceed our budget due to high demand). All you need to attend is a swimming costume/trunks/whatever you feel most comfortable swimming in, a towel and a warm layer to put on after the swim.
