Hi, I'm Sophie (she/her), a second-year historian and your JCR President for 2025! I'm very excited to work with the amazing committee and student body this year. My main role is chairing the JCR committee and communicating between college and students. I also work with the Selwyn MCR and other college JCRs, representing Selwyn within the wider community. My focuses are maintaining the JCR’s relationship with college and undergraduates, improving facilities and accessibility, and addressing the cost-of-living crisis. Hi everyone - I'm Nicole (she/her) and a second year HSPS student, and I'm excited to be Communications Officer this year! I'll be in charge of the JCR social media, the weekly Selwinfo, minuting, and making sure that all the info about what's happening in the College is making its way to you. Hi!! I'm Ben (he/him), a second-year law student and your JCR Vice-President for this year. I'm excited to work with the rest of this year's committee and support its members in making meaningful changes around college and in putting on exciting events that keep Selwyn's close-knit community thriving. At the same time, I hope to ensure that the JCR continues to be able to respond to student concerns in how we can improve the experience of studying at Selwyn. I will also be keeping in touch with the Student Union and representatives from other colleges, communicating with the committee and the wider student body about what's going on.

Hi everyone! I’m Lea (she/her) and I’m a second-year HSPSer. I’m excited to be taking on the role of Treasurer this year and staying involved with the JCR. My main role is to ensure that the financial side of the JCR operates smoothly, which includes funds and reimbursements, as well as representing the student body in meetings with the College. Hi! I’m Laura (she/her), a first-year Hispol-er and I’m looking forward to being one of your two access officers this year alongside Jacob. My main aims are looking to revive the social media access accounts and improve the bridging course for its second time running. I’m excited to support both prospective students, through widening the potential of applying to Cambridge and Selwyn specifically, as well as current students in the JCR. Hello! I’m Jacob, a first year Architect from Barnsley. Alongside Laura my role as your access officer means that I aim to make Selwyn accessible for all applicants regardless of their background and I oversee that the college community including the JCR committee remains as diverse as possible. My goal is to work with the college to demystify the application process as much as possible and encourage those from widening participation backgrounds to apply. Hi all! I’m Grace, a second year archaeologist from York. As your new green officer, I aim to reduce our individual and collective college carbon footprints. I will continue the swap and shares, and introduce new sustainable fashion initiatives. Hello! I’m Immy (she/her), a second year Theology student, and I am excited to be your Faiths and Belief’s officer this year! Our main focus will be maintaining Selwyn’s warm and welcoming environment through college events and promoting inclusivity.We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to connect with others and, most importantly, have fun! Hi, I’m Evie (she/her), a second year HSPS-er, and am super excited to be your LGBTQ+ Officer this year! I am looking forward to being a part of the JCR welfare team, acting as a friendly face around college, listening to your concerns, and supporting you in every way I can. As well as this, I am keen to continue holding a wide range of queer social events, from movie night to club night socials, and advertising these through various social media outlets. Throughout my time in the role, I will promote all support within college, and university wide, available to the community.

Hi, I’m Lila (she/her), a first year History and Politics student. As your Accommodations and Services Officer for this year, I hope to continue to work with the college to improve communication between students and maintenance to ensure that problems with accommodation are resolved efficiently. I also hope to work with the Green Officer in order to find ways of making Selwyn accommodation more environmentally friendly. My goal is to regularly survey students about their experiences with accommodation and services, including by having a monthly drop-in session. Hi, I'm Juliet (she/her) and I am in my second year studying Education Studies. I am excited to be your Education and Development Officer this year.
